Istanbul: An Amazing City

August 27, 2008 By: sukanyapaul Category: Travel No Comments →

Istanbul is a less visited city but a beautiful one I must say. Along with all my team mates, I reached Istanbul and was amazed by the beautiful locales of the place. We stood in front of the ferry and were watching the city as it revealed itself in front of us… it was just amazing! The next day we planned to visit the beautiful Prince’s Island.

The Prince’s Islands were simply beautiful!  We got off at the third Island to enjoy and chill out. But the place was unbelievably hot and even the hats were of no help.  However, lovely breeze would calm down the temperature sometimes.  I enjoyed travel by the horse drawn carriages as cars were not allowed on the island. Some of my tour-mates even used bicycles.  In this island, we found a small wooden hotel which offered accommodation to us. They played traditional music within the hotel which added to the ethnic décor of the place.

Another lovely place which I visited during my trip to Istanbul was the Sunset Mosque. While returning from the Sunset Mosque, we took a ferry to the city. While returning, the sun was about to set which gave a beautiful look to the skyline of Istanbul. Looking at the beautiful sky, we returned to the hustle and bustle of Istanbul.

BMI introduces more flights between Edinburgh and Copenhagen

August 07, 2008 By: sukanyapaul Category: Flights, Travel No Comments →

British Midland Airways, one of the punctual airlines of Britain has recently introduced the third return flight from Edinburgh to Copenhagen. This has increased the air-link between the two cities to 18 return flights in one week. The cost of the tickets are also quite low - £145 including taxes. Well that’s great! These flight tickets can also be booked online from their website - flybmi.com which is an added advantage.

This newly introduced flight between the these two capitals have allowed the passengers to get connecting flights at a number of destinations - Oslo, Tokyo, Istanbul, Helsinki and Stockholm. Passengers boarding the flight from Oslo and Istanbul will also be able to get the benefit of reaching Edinburgh through Copenhagen.

The commercial director of British Midland Airways, Peter Kenworthy, is of the opinion that this extra flight will be extremely helpful for the Scotland based business and leisure customers. Convenient flight schedules and low fares are the main attractions of the BMI flights which has actually helped this airline to capture the market.
